Take your hesitation - throw it to the wind

I said I’d come back and post and I did!  I know you’re so thrilled.

The phone call I was waiting for was with Jen and Mike at ToastedRav.com - a site by St. Louisans for St. Louisans.  I had e-mailed Jen earlier and mentioned something about how I’d like to take photos for them.  I’ve been doing concert photography for about two years, my site is http://www.auditoryimages.net, and I wanted some sort of publication to link up with.  If you’ve never been to ToastedRav.com - even if you’re not in St. Louis - I suggest you visit.

The degree of fun present on the site, as well as glowing recommendations from Holly McCaig (she took the cool photos of the staff!), was what led me to e-mail Jen.  I figured I’d said I’d take more pictures this year and dang it, if this worked out, that would be a way to do it.

Jen was every bit as awesome as I’d hoped, and Mike was also cool, and despite my nervous rambling they decided I was okay, so now I’ll be taking concert photos and posting them at ToastedRav.com. I might also pull off some interviews and the like.

I’m excited firstly because I love taking photos and I love concert photography, but I’m also excited because I managed to put my fear aside and have it actually work out for me to put myself out there.

So!  No sure what the first show will be, but I’ll be doing - hopefully - everything from local to national acts, from country to jazz.  Very exciting day here!

Fate should not tempt me
The anticipation is killing me again
